The Department strongly believes
 in professional ethics and inculcates human values while imparting knowledge. Faculty takes special care to bring out the latent talents of students through the following methods. Apart from teaching Hindi as a Second language, dept offers a Certificate course in Functional Hindi for non-Hindi students.

Curricular Innovations
  • Introduction of Premchand’s Novel in III Sem, Autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi in II Sem, and Ancient Poetry in I Sem to make students aware of our culture and Human values.
  • One-act plays to throw focus on Social and political issues and encourage students to enact so that their communication skills will be improved.
  • Academic projects- Contemporary Trends in literature, Ancient and Modern Poets and writers, Description of Tourist Places and Story and movie reviews 
  • Creative assignments- Translation of stories from English and Telugu to Hindi; Dialogue writing and storytelling.
  • Taking Interviews of Prominent People and Writing Press note etc.
  • Functional Hindi- Administrative and Official Terminology, Advertisements.
  • Extension activities- Taking students to local Literary organizations and Book fests and exploring the Talks of eminent Scholars.
  • Intercollegiate Competitions- Hosting such competitions gives the students a sense of responsibility and team spirit. Department believes that social responsibility and citizenship roles among students are promoted indirectly by supporting them to participate in various activities.
  • AIR Programmes- Encouraging students to give Radio Talks and present poetry, songs and short stories through All India Radio.
  • Started a YouTube channel in 2019- Through this, teaching Hindi Grammar and spoken Hindi to non-natives. Also teaching Telugu to Non-Telugu people through Hindi. Faculty members constantly inspire and motivate the students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted by the college and other colleges for their overall personality development.
The Department organizes Guest Lectures by eminent scholars on the recent trends of Hindi literature, involving different stakeholders.
To showcase the creative talents of the students, the Hindi department has been publishing an annual magazine "PRATIBHA" for 15 years. Students contribute articles, poems, shayeris, jokes, riddles and short stories. This magazine is an outlet for innovative ideas of the students. 
Every year, the Hindi department observes Independence Day, Hindi Day (14 Sep) and International Mother Language Day (21 Feb).
To inculcate values like self-respect, National integrity, secularism, social equality etc., the dept organizes various competitions and programmes in the college. Students in large numbers participate and mark their respect towards the Nation and National language. Students are given the opportunity to organize and participate in a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular competitions like Creative Writing, Elocution, Debate, Doha-Antakshari, Just a Minute, Slogan Writing, Quiz, Solo and Group singingDepartment actively participates in counselling the students personally and academically for their overall development.
Guidance is given to students about the placement opportunities available in Hindi language and literature - Hindi teachers, translators, lecturers, RJs on FM Radios, News reporters etc.
Feedback from students through informal contact to obtain information about qualitative changes required in the course.
Faculty members enhance their ability and knowledge by attending various seminars and workshops conducted by the home college and other colleges.

The Hindi Faculty coordinates the Srishti–the Literary club. It conducts competitions like Essay writing, Elocution, Debate, Storytelling, Poem recitation, Slogan writing, Sharing of experiences, Group discussions and Quizzes on contemporary issues through the literary club at regular intervals. The club also conducts Skit, Roleplay, Mono action, Mime, and Jokes competitions. These clubs help the students to improve their communication skills and self-confidence. The members of these clubs participate in many college, University and state-level events and won prizes.
